In 1985 a group of United Methodist Men had a dream that now lives on
as the principal goal of Aldersgate Enrichment Center: to provide an
innovative and Christian community for people with limited but special
abilities (mildly to moderately challenged). Through the individualized
vocational Training Program offered by Aldersgate, participants reach their
intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and spiritual potential and
experience the dignity of making their own contribution. Although
a ministry related with the Central Texas Annual Conference and United
Methodist Men, we do not receive apportionment of any government funding.
We depend on the generosity of people like you.

We all know the value of a good meal in the middle of the workday.
At Aldersgate, we provide fresh fruit and coffee every morning, and we
serve a well-balanced,hot meal with dessert and large portions, every work
day at noon. For some Associates, this is the only meal of the day. Would

Matthew Wilkes
...
Matt works in the Packaging Department. He has been employed with Aldersgate
since July of 2003. Matt's hobbies include video games, Pokemon, watching
movies & playing with his niece, Caitlyn.
Jimmy Head
...
Jimmy works in the Recycle Department. Recently he stated, “I used
to think going to devotion was not necessary, but it has changed my life.”
Robert White
...
Robert works in the Road Crew Department. Recently Robert was awarded
for his outstanding performance & his commitment of excellence in the
Texas State Use Works Wonders Program.
Krystal Romine
...
Krystal came to work for Aldersgate in July 2007. She attends Early
High School and lives at Aldersgate. Last month, Krystal attended her prom.

At Aldersgate Enrichment Center, almost daily, we see these individuals
find direction in their lives, sometimes for the first time. What
a miracle and a blessing! God touches hearts and lives through his
ministry because you care enough to share in the challenge
and the joy. The Brownwood community, the Central Texas Conference
and beyond are engaged in a great work of the Lord. Together, through
the grace of God, we can continue making this ministry possible.
